Marc Wagner is a partner and wealth advisor who also serves as chief financial officer at Octavia Wealth Advisors. Fueled by a high level of intellectual curiosity, Marc is a consummate problem solver who is not satisfied until he’s found an appropriate solution. He provides assistance with planning and technical issues to the entire Octavia team. As CFO, Marc also manages the firm’s finances and serves as a technology expert. He works to build infrastructure for the financial and technical side of the firm, which enhances advisors’ ability to better serve their clients.
Before becoming a founder at Octavia, Marc spent over 18 years as a financial consultant at Midwest Financial Partners working with clients and managing the firm’s finances. Previously, he worked as a computer consultant, helping to design and implement portfolio management software for financial advisors.
Marc received a Bachelor of Science in human and organizational development from Vanderbilt University. He is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™.
On the personal side
A Cincinnati native, Marc still calls the city home. Happily married for over 20 years, he and his wife have a son and a daughter. Marc is an avid sports fan who enjoys football, golf, and just about anything else involving a competition. He spent 20 years coaching youth sports including football and swimming at various levels. When not working you will find Marc playing golf or traveling with his family. Back in 2013, Marc and his son had an amazing sports experience on ESPN’s campus during the taping of NFL Countdown. They spent an afternoon with NFL and ESPN legends watching NFL games. In addition to his love of sports, for the last 10 years Marc has also enjoyed volunteering for the American Cancer Society in various roles.
